Erica and I talked about this script.  It's based on a new sheriff dealing with twins who try to break as many stupid Oklahoma laws as possible.  This project was first a script and then became a novel, but the quandry Erica and I face is that we both knew it would make a great family script...minus the bar scene with Pedro and a few other small lines.  In an effort to make it appeal to a wider audience, we edited it, took out the snatches of adult humor, and put a revision back up on Amazon Studios for the February contest.

The novel, Skunks Trunks, and Pedro is currently in line for editing, and I must say, it's not nearly so 'family friendly.'  Still it was a fun project that I enjoyed writing.

If you'd like to read and comment on the script for Skunks, Trunks, and Pedro for free, it's on my Amazon Studios Page here.  Just be sure to pick the latest draft of the script.

Snow days are good.  They let me actually get writing done.  Last night my co-writer, Erica Arroyo, and I were up into the wee hours of the morning trying to get a revision done on a horror script called The Night Runner, a revision based on Richard Stern's script for the Amazon Studios January competition.  Okay, so we missed the deadline and edged it in as entry for February's contest.

Strangely enough, when Erica and I write, we do the same thing that I do as a solo writer.  We prewrite for hours and hours, figuring out the smallest details which we need to handle.  Then, after that's done, we write fast and furious until the project is done.  I don't even want to know how much time we spent narrowing down what we were going to change in this revision only to crank out the revision in less than 48 hours.

Oh, and in case you're wondering...we had a great time doing it.
