Dr. Robert Parker reluctantly takes part in a trial for a so-called miracle drug in hopes of redeeming himself for the death of his younger sister.  During the trial, three unexpected things happen.  First, the drug works.  Second, he falls in love with a patient whose case closely resembles that of his late sister.  Third, a bacterial infection sparks a violent outbreak that endangers the entire trial and all of its participants.  Dr. Parker will have to find his ABSOLUTION as he attempts to save those close to him.
