For years, I've scrapbooked, and just recently, I started working in the digital medium. It's mind-blowing how easy it is to create something fun. In fact, I spotted this digital scrapbooking kit that made me want to see if I could adapt it to something for Lev, my hero from Sojourner. In the end, this is what I came up with.
I was going to post this yesterday, but then the new laptop I'd order came, and I experienced Windows 8 for the first time. Let's just say the transition wasn't smooth. To add to the fun, Dropbox is still syncing all my writing data. Still, I promised that I would post my cover and blurb for Nano, and here it is. I hope you're looking forward to the journey as much as I am.
Three Things I learned the Hard Way:
1. Vampires suck as boyfriends.
2. Guardian angels have lousy bedside manners.
3. Never, ever step between the two of them.
Sixteen-year-old Chelsea Montgomery pretty much has her whole life mapped out. She’s going to go to college, hopefully with Tad Coventry, her amazing boyfriend, and maybe become a social worker. Lord knows she’s got enough experience about DHS because her best friend, Olivia Hightower, has one rocky home life. She doesn’t believe in the supernatural, but after a devastating car wreck that should have killed her, that all changes as she finds herself in the middle of an ancient battle between light and darkness. She’s been revived and fashioned into a weapon for the angelic force, but it’s hard to soldier up, when part of you is tied to darkness. Yes, Chelsea’s alive, thanks to the angels, but both factions have secrets, and she’s going to have to forge her own path with her own rules she can live with, and that path might make enemies on both sides.
Currently, I'm writing the first draft of the last Dreamwalker novel. Thanks to Claudia McKinney, aka Phatpuppy Art, and The Font Diva, I now have the ebook cover to display. It's actually my favorite of the three covers. And if you check back tomorrow, I'll have the new cover and blurb up for my NanoWriMo project next month.
I have a wicked cool surprise for those readers who like the Sojourner world. The talented artist behind most of my covers, Phatpuppy Art, has designed an amazing hidden object game in the Sojourner world, and as always, the art in the game is completely stunning. I narrated the story segments, as well. Right now, the game is only available for the Kindle, but it will becoming for the Nook very soon.
I'm an indie author with over forty books.
